Bleed For A Cause

I have tried more than one way
To ask the question with intent to ease the pain
But instead both you and I have become scarred
Stitches only bind the wound for the time
Until I find a way to cut these threads

Bleeding uncontrollably but it’s for the cause
Bleeding for the cause

I’m lying down to confess
Sessions started tell me how long
Will you hold my hand tonight
Influence is wearing off this time for good
I embrace the golden thoughts and fall asleep

My eyes are opening as if they never closed
The sun lights the day as if a new one has begun
Ashes are floating, embers are smoldering

And so into the night I lie awake and battle with my mind
You try and set me free but it’s just a waste of time
And so I burn, I’m burning

I think I’ve heard too much, I think I’ve seen too much
I think I know too much, you never say enough
