We can all agree that sometimes you never really know what the meanings behind some songs are.   Songs may have been written about personal situations or past events, but sometimes the reasons never come to light.  We decided to remedy this and get Matt Robear (vocals) to share his meanings behind the songs of Morning Augment.

Up In Arms

For the grunts out in the fields, sacrificing their bodies so that our kings may eat well.  We as workers are taken for granted a lot of times by the so called suits and CEO’s of companies that we starve for, so it’s time to unite and remind them that they starve without us!

My Midlife Crisis

A combination of nostalgia and a mortality complex.  I tend to dwell on the past whether it be in my own mind, or while looking at old photos.  I dwell equally as hard on the fact that people around me will be be gone one day.  Our time is limited on this earth.  Cherish every moment you have with the people around you.  Our times are unpredictable, and you never know when all you'll have of someone is your memories, and old photos.

Unfriendly Waters

Its very hard to find a person that can be true to them self, and be just that, them self.  So this was written for anyone and everyone who does anything but that. Some people alter their personalities just to be accepted by certain crowds, and go through multiple changes just to fit in where they can get in. We will never know who they really are.

Destroying What was Once Beautiful

As we go through life, friends come and go, but some grow very close and dear to our hearts.  These friendships, even as beautiful as they are, fall apart.  The means in which they fall are clear, both sides deep down want to resolve the problem, but pride is a major obstacle to hurdle in these situations.  Over time, both parties grow numb to the situation, and each other, and then the bond is destroyed.

Bleed for the Cause

For the obsessive minds that never let certain situations go.  You fall asleep beating yourself up in your mind, and you wake up taking the same beating.  Our minds are wonderful and powerful things, but they can be just as destructive as they can be wonderful.

War on March 6th
